Stick & Ribbons models: Judy Marston, Laura Moore, Helen Yates, Donna Heffernan. Alison Dawson- Orchard, Erika Hill
Women and fashion go together like The X Factor and low ratings, but just as this pairing experiences highs and lows, so do millions of women when hitting the shops to buy a new outfit. There are so many shapes out there; pear, triangle, hourglass and straight up & down; it’s hard to know what will look amazing, and what would see you ending up on the ‘circle of shame’ pages of Heat magazine.
Luckily the fabulous stylists at Nottingham boutique, Stick & Ribbon; aptly named due to the tools used to measure and find people’s body shape, are on hand to offer that much needed advice, and restore confidence in women who would otherwise be wearing all the wrong things.
Last week we were lucky enough to attend Stick & Ribbons charity fashion show, in partnership with The Cornerhouse, which saw over £600 raised for The MS Society. All of the models included in the show were volunteers, including 32 year old MS sufferer, Donna Heffernan, who made her modelling debut to a chorus of applause.
